Your initial consultation with a Laser Spine Institute physician will occur in one of our 32 clinical exam rooms. Our clinical exam rooms are located on the first floor of our Tampa surgery center. All other presurgical and postsurgical physician appointments will also be scheduled at this location but on the second floor. We welcome your Care Partner to accompany you in the clinical exam room for your appointments, or they may choose to relax in our café.
Our clinical exam rooms are equipped with all of the technology and medical instruments our physicians need to evaluate and discuss your health. The rooms include model spines that our physicians can manipulate to help you better understand anatomical issues and any other medical conditions you face.
During your initial consultation, you will be asked to describe your symptoms in detail and provide a medical and surgical history that includes medications, allergies and other relevant information. A physical exam will be performed in order to document your current medical condition. This appointment may also include a blood draw, electrocardiogram (EKG) or other diagnostic tests. A physician will review your MRI slides in the clinical exam room on a view box or digital monitor. After gathering and reviewing all of this information, a physician will answer your questions and work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan to help you find the relief you need from chronic neck or back pain. If surgery is ordered by our physicians, you will then meet with one of our knowledgeable Spine Care Coordinators who will guide you through the remainder of your surgical process.
Our culture of care is what sets Laser Spine Institute apart from other health care providers. It begins with treating our patients and co-workers like they are part of our family and is continued with how we give back to our communities. We are proud to have helped more than 60,000 patients and have a 97 percent patient satisfaction rate.
