The scheduling area is where you will meet with our helpful coordinators, who are ready to serve as your concierges, guiding you throughout your time at Laser Spine Institute’s St. Louis surgery center. They can direct you to the room where you will meet with one of our physicians for your initial consultation.

Once you and your physician have determined that spine surgery at Laser Spine Institute is an appropriate course of action for you, a scheduling coordinator will meet with you to discuss the process. Your Spine Care Scheduler will lead you through the rest of your Laser Spine Institute experience, answer your general questions and help you schedule your surgery.

When we schedule your surgery, it’s vital that you make arrangements for you and your Care Partner for the days immediately before and after the procedure. Because all of our procedures are performed on an outpatient basis, you will either need to return home the night of the surgery (if you live in the St. Louis area) or make plans to stay in a local hotel for the first few days after surgery. If you need to find a place to stay, turn to one of our Spine Care Coordinators for assistance. He or she can help make arrangements with one of our partner hotels that offer special rates for our patients. In total, you should plan to remain in the area for five to seven days, allotting time for preoperative assessment, surgery, recovery and a final postoperative appointment.
